Sarah Henshaw has more than 20 years of working with nonprofit organizations of all sizes around the world in program design, grant/proposal writing, partnership cultivation, strategic planning, and board development. Sarah runs a nonprofit consulting and advisory small business, Leaves of Change VT, providing learning opportunities and employment for VT-based nonprofit professionals and relationship-based support for nonprofits. Sarah has been on both international nonprofit boards, as well as small local nonprofit boards. She is currently on the Clarina Howard Nichols Center Development Committee (ex-Board Chair) and the Stowe DRB as an alternate member.
Dave McAllister is the Executive Director/CEO at Laraway Youth & Family Services. Dave has been with Laraway for 23 years, serving in each department in various roles. Dave has two graduate degrees in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership. Dave is the President and Treasurer of the Vermont Coalition of Residential Provider

Dave has two graduate degrees in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership. Dave is the President and Treasurer of the Vermont Coalition of Residential Providers and Chair of the Healthy Lamoille Valley Steering Team. Dave has also been an active community member and in his spare time volunteers to coach basketball and golf. Dave is the President of Morrisville Basketball Association, Patriots Youth Football, and The Northern Vermont Youth Football League. Dave is an active Freemason and Rotarian. His greatest passion and time invested is as an active Scouting volunteer locally and across the state.
Janet Bruner moved to Vermont in support of her youngest daughter’s entrance to NVU in Johnson. Janet worked for many years as a family social worker supporting families with members who have specialized needs. Janet is a passionate advocate for people with developmental disabilities and recently joined the GMSS board in support of this passion.
Michele Streeter has taught in Vermont public schools for over 30 years both as a classroom teacher and an early childhood special educator. She is currently employed by UVM as a Family Resource Consultant on the Vermont Interdisciplinary-Team, which works with Vermont children (3-22 years old) who require intensive special education. Mic

Michele lives in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom with her husband and dog, Murphy.
Kay Randall has devoted her over 60 years in Vermont to service in the best interests of some of the most vulnerable groups in the state. Kay Randall has devoted her over 60 years in Vermont to service in the best interests of some of the most vulnerable groups in the state. From years being a foster parent, working as in home care for senior citizens, and working in the Special Education system doing her best to give upward mobility to students who are starting off on the back foot Kay has always cared deeply for those who need it most. All of this life experience means that she will never push for something that isn't a value add for all members of a community.
Patty Grassette has been on and off the GMSS board for many years, advocating for support of shared living providers and community members with development disabilities and specialized needs. Patty lives with her SLP in Lamoille County.
NOTICE: The board will not meet at its regularly scheduled time in either November or December due to conflicts with observed holidays. We will instead meet (virtually) on December 12 at 6:00 PM, using the regular Zoom link below.
Our GMSS Board meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.
All members of the GMSS community are welcome to attend board meetings. The board will designate a public comment period at each meeting during which community members may ask questions.
